What the role is:

We are seeking a talented and motivated Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer to join our team. With our Product Engineering team rapidly iterating and deploying new code, our Test Engineers drive the crucial effort of designing automated test suites that are reliable and maintainable. This team is tasked with ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products through rigorous testing and automation. You will spend 80% of your time focused on test automation, with the remaining time dedicated to manual exploratory testing and other QA activities.

What you’ll do:

• Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using frameworks such as Playwright, Jest, Supertest.

• Perform manual and automated testing for REST web service APIs / web applications

• Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.

• Conduct “shift-right” testing, including designing and running tests in a production environment to ensure system stability and reliability.

• Focus on test scenarios from customers’ perspectives to enhance user experience and satisfaction

• Work closely with developers to reproduce and debug issues.

• Identify, document and track software defects using a bug-tracking system.

• Improve and innovate the tooling to run tests reliably and efficiently

• Design and perform non-functional tests including load testing and security testing

• Leverage cutting edge generative AI tools to enhance test design and automation implementation

What you’ll bring:

• 2-4 years of industry experience in software quality assurance.

• Experience in designing and reviewing test plans and test cases.

• Solid experience in both manual and automated testing for REST web service APIs and/or web applications.

• Strong proficiency in test automation frameworks, like Playwright, Jest, Cypress or Selenium.

• Strong programming skills in languages like Javascript, Java or Python

• Capable of comprehending and contributing to high level requirements and designs

• Experience with Agile development methodologies.

• Familiarity with AWS and Kubernetes is a plus

• Excellent problem solving skills and attention to detail.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
