The Channel Partner Manager, Commercial Sales will own and accelerate North American revenue growth for the company’s portfolio of active ingredients and functional hydrogels across skincare, body care, and hair care. This is a senior, high-impact role for a commercial leader who thrives in building scale through a complex channel ecosystem while driving direct adoption with strategic brands.
This role carries full commercial ownership for North America — setting strategy, driving execution, and holding partners accountable for results. The ideal candidate brings strong technical credibility, a bias toward action, and a track record of turning differentiated science into sustained commercial growth.
Key Responsibilities
Revenue Ownership & Growth Execution
- Own and deliver North America revenue targets with clear accountability for results.
- Design and execute a regional go-to-market strategy that drives rapid adoption through CMOs, distributors, and direct brand engagement.
- Build, manage, and aggressively advance a weighted pipeline with strong conversion discipline.
- Focus commercial effort on the highest-impact accounts, partners, and CMO sites.
Channel Partner Scale & Performance
- Lead and scale revenue through key North American channel partners, including large, multi-site CMOs.
- Set clear performance expectations, KPIs, forecasting rigor, and governance.
- Drive partner enablement through structured business planning, technical training, and execution reviews.
- Identify underperformance early and take decisive corrective action.
- Ensure partners actively champion the company’s technologies within their innovation and formulation programs.
Technical Sales Leadership
- Serve as a credible technical and commercial partner to formulators, R&D, and innovation leaders.
- Convert technical differentiation into compelling value propositions tied to performance, cost-in-use, and speed to market.
- Lead complex technical-commercial engagements alongside Applications and R&D.
- Maintain scientific accuracy and regulatory alignment across all commercial messaging.
Team Leadership & Commercial Enablement
- Lead a lean, high-performance North America commercial team.
- Build repeatable sales processes, playbooks, and enablement tools in partnership with Marketing.
- Train internal teams and channel partners on value selling, technical storytelling, and opportunity qualification.
- Drive tight cross-functional alignment to operate as a single revenue engine.
Strategic Partnerships & Expansion
- Identify and secure high-impact strategic relationships with leading brands and CMOs.
- Support or lead negotiations for preferred partnerships, commercial commitments, and joint development efforts.
- Represent the company with authority at key industry events and executive-level engagements.
Qualifications & Experience
- 10–15+ years in B2B commercial roles within personal care, specialty ingredients, or related science-based industries.
- 5–8+ years in technical, science-based sales with measurable revenue impact.
- 5–8+ years scaling revenue through channel partners, CMOs, or distributors.
- Demonstrated success driving growth through both direct and indirect sales models.
- Strong technical fluency with formulation trade-offs, performance claims, and cost-in-use.
- Proven ability to lead, influence, and drive results across internal and external stakeholders.
Preferred Background
- Experience selling cosmetic actives, functional polymers/hydrogels, or biotech-derived ingredients.
- Background in fast-growth or scale-up environments.
- Deep familiarity with the North American personal care innovation ecosystem.
