The Corporate Controller/VP, Accounting will lead Evolved By Nature’s global accounting operations and financial reporting functions. This individual will be responsible for maintaining a comprehensive system of accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to mitigate risk and ensure the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of the Company’s financial reporting. The role also includes oversight of the annual financial audit process.

Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), the Corporate Controller/VP, Accounting will collaborate closely with senior leadership and external auditors. The ideal candidate will be an operational and hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and is known for their professionalism, attention to detail, and ability to lead high-performing teams.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Applies a deep understanding of the Company’s business operations to all aspects of the accounting function.
• Oversees the Company’s internal control framework—building, refining, and scaling policies and procedures to ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and all applicable regulations.
• Leads the preparation and management of world-wide external financial reporting, including the consolidation of foreign legal entities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all relevant regulations; keeps senior leadership informed of upcoming regulatory changes with potential financial or operational impacts.
• Leads the Company’s annual financial audit, including coordination with external auditors, coordination with foreign entities, and identification and resolution of complex technical accounting issues.
• Manages global tax compliance, including coordination with external tax advisors and service providers.
• Partners closely with FP&A to prepare financial reports, analyze results, and support the development of financial forecasts, projections, and budgets.
• Oversees the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes to ensure the timely delivery of accurate financial information to key stakeholders.
• Refines existing accounting processes and leads the successful implementation of a new accounting system to support future scalability.
• Maintains oversight of expense recording systems and general ledger integrity.
• Manages and maintains the Company’s capitalization table (cap table).
• Reviews and oversees financial aspects of contractual agreements across the Company.
• Leads, develops, and mentors a high-performing accounting team; provides ongoing feedback, coaching, and professional development.
• Supports special projects and ad hoc financial analysis as needed.

Educational Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; minimum of 20+ years of progressive accounting management experience
• CPA required
• MBA preferred/

Additional Qualifications:

• Minimum of 4+ years of experience at a Big 4 or national accounting firm
• Experience in high-tech or biotech industries preferred
• International accounting experience a plus
• Proven people manager with experience hiring, developing, motivating, and leading high-performing teams in a way that positively influences culture and results
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, and technical accounting
• Demonstrated experience implementing best practices in financial controls and process improvement
• Analytical thinker with a hands-on, solutions-oriented approach to supporting a growing business
• Strong financial systems experience, including ERP system implementation and optimization
• Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and with non-financial stakeholders
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Unquestionable integrity, personal ethics, and a high level of professionalism
• Self-motivated, flexible, and able to adapt in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
