Reporting to the Director, Process Engineering, the Senior Manager of Process Engineering will be responsible for manufacturing operations and driving innovation across key development and process improvement projects for manufacturing and engineering system, specifically driving an innovative and disruptive medical device program. This is a unique opportunity with great growth potential.

 

Responsibilities:

 

·      Defining and establishing process flow, procedures, and equipment configuration

·      Selecting and developing material and equipment for the process to meet quality, reliability, cost, yield, productivity, regulatory and manufacturability requirements

·      Develop innovative and novel process equipment

·      Leading and conducting process, equipment and material development projects with suppliers. This will require exceptional collaboration with cross-functional/cross-company teams and vendors to meet challenging program goals

·      Specifying and implementing appropriate equipment and services solutions that meet organizational needs. This may be related to standard equipment offerings or more sophisticated and specialized processing applications

·      Designing, executing and analyzing experiments necessary to meet engineering specifications for their process

·      Evaluating the results of all projects and make recommendations to executives about significant changes that need to be made to resources, procedures, systems, or technology

·      Driving improvements on quality, reliability, cost, yield, process stability/capability, productivity and safety over variables such as material, method, equipment, environment and operating personnel

·      Developing solutions to problems utilizing formal education, statistical knowledge, and problem-solving tools

·      Monitoring competitor offerings and industry trends; research, evaluate and recommend investments in technology, equipment, systems, or other assets that will improve the quality of the organization’s products and services

·      Training production/receiving process engineers across multiple facilities

·      Transferring processes to high volume manufacturing and providing support in new factory startup

·      Domestic and International travel, as necessary to support job responsibilities

 

Qualifications:

 

·      BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Material Science, Chemistry or an equivalent field

·      8+ years of experience in process and/or equipment development is preferred

·      Experience managing teams in a highly technical industry/organization

·      Experience working with external and internal partners, including highly technical equipment and/or materials manufacturers

·      Track record for developing organizational capabilities

·      Experience with statistical analysis and associated tools (JMP, Minitab, etc)

·      CAD skills a plus
