Due to the company's expansive growth, we are seeking an Associate Scientist, Chemistry to support the expansion. The Associate Scientist, Chemistry will support development of innovative textile coatings and processes through the execution of experiments with Evolved By Nature patented molecules on lab-scale textile and leather equipment. The individual will have the opportunity to be involved in all aspects of development from design of experiments to collection of results and generation of reports.

Primary Responsibilities:

· Author research designs to study novel textile and leather coatings and processes

· Conduct benchtop experiments, process and organize test results

· Operate laboratory and manufacturing equipment

· Transfer benchtop experiments to manufacturing scale equipment at mills

· Author SOP’s, Work Instructions, and Protocols for Transferring Technologies to Mills

· Actively participate in fabric finishing trial at textile mills, summarize trials activities and relative test results

· Research textile and leather standards, processes and products

· Provide input on new and updates to existing in-house procedures

· Contribute to maintaining laboratory safety

· Monitor laboratory inventory

· Communicates clearly with team

· Must be able to work independently as well as in a team setting

Qualifications:

· Applicants should have a Bachelor degree in Chemistry Science

· 2-5 years of professional experience in a laboratory or manufacturing setting related to textile dyeing and finishing processes or leather finishing processes

· Must be able to stand for up to 3 hours at a time and able to lift up 50 lbs

· Basic knowledge of statistics, and experience with related software

· Good laboratory techniques

· Good Documentation Practices

· Strong communication and writing skills

· Excellent attention to details

· Ability to reprioritize quickly in a fast-paced environment

· Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite

· Ability to work independently or in a team environment

Other Requirements:

• Able to obtain up to date Covid-19 vaccination status per the current CDC guidelines (full vaccination dose and booster) prior to employment start day.
